We cater for anyone who wants to start to learn to row. Our Head Novice Coordinator has a training schedule that's perfect for anyone wanting to get into the sport.
Experienced rowers will be under the supervision of our Men's & Women's squad captain's and are happy to invite new experienced rowers into our squads.
Our headquarters are in Nottingham on the River Trent and we are affiliated with Nottingham Rowing Club. We are a young boat club in comparison with other universities but we are up and coming, beating other highly regarded sporting universities.
We row out of Nottingham Rowing Club alongside the River Trent, an official GB World Class Start Centre, a short bus or cycle ride away from all three NTU campuses. With access to a gym kitted out with enough rowing machines to allow the squads to train together as well as weights and spin bikes to complement the training regime.
High Performance Facilities
At NTUBC, we have four squads including two Novice squads and the Senior Men and Women, catering for both complete beginners to experienced rowers. Although these squads are separate we regularly train together and as a club we motivate each other to be the best we can be, especially around competition time when we are representing NTU.
Catering for Everyone
Our coach, Ashley Hewitt, is experienced and highly regarded amongst the rowing community. He has been with the club now for almost 6 years and has helped coach our members to some of NTUBC best results.
