The Women’s Squad also train ten times a week under an experienced coach. They train alongside the Men’s Squad for the majority of the sessions, creating competition across both squad allowing all members to push themselves, therefore becoming the best they can be.
The Women compete nationally at events such as WeHorr, BUCS Regatta and Women’s Henley, with results improving every year.
If you have rowed before and fancy coming and joining the NTUBC family contact the Women’s Captain for more details!

The Men’s Squad train ten times a week all year round, this training plan has a good balance between gym, ergo and water work all of which are done under the watchful and experienced eye of Ashley Hewitt.
Whether it’s a session on the water or the gym, there is always a strong but positive sense of competition which enables everyone to keep improving on all aspects of their performance. Over the course of the year, the men will put out boats for varying competitions, starting the year with the British Championships, through to BUCS Head, HORR, BUCS Regatta, Henley Royal Regatta and EUSA, just to name a few.
If you’re interested in joining the squad or would like some more information, don’t hesitate to get in contact with the Men’s Captain!
